Ellis Island: The Dream of AmericaPortland Choir and Orchestra Ellis Island: The Dream of America presents a unique musical exploration of America and its growth as a nation of immigrants. Titled after Peter Boyer's composition, this concert spotlights poignant Ellis Island stories from the late 1800's and early 1900's, set to a moving orchestral score. A variety of contemporary American choral works will also be woven into the presentation. In the months preceding, and after the concert, members of the Portland Choir and Orchestra are excited to participate in a variety of collaborative hands-on service opportunities with JustServe.org, Catholic Charities, Refugee Care Collective, Lutheran Community Services Refugees, Immigrant and Refugee Support Group, Portland Refugee Support Group, and Butterfly Boxes all focusing on helping refugee families. |

Berkshire Choral International - Sonoma CA WeekBerkshire Choral International Choral music inspired by troubled times, transformed into universal visions for peace and renewal. Katherine FitzGibbon, Director of Choral Activities at Lewis and Clark College, conducts Vaughan Williams’ impassioned Dona Nobis Pacem and Damien Geter’s Cantata for a More Hopeful Tomorrow, inspired by Bach and African-American spirituals. Together, these works provide a timely and eloquent choral response to the challenges we have all recently experienced. |

Rome Choral FestivalMusic Celebrations International The Rome International Choral Festival is one of Rome’s premier annual summer music events. The thirteenth-annual festival will feature Mass participation at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican and a formal finale concert at Rome’s famed Chiesa di Sant’ Ignazio di Loyola on June 25th, 2022. The festival chorus will include mixed-voice singers and choirs from across North America that will come together to rehearse and perform en masse under the baton of maestro Z. Randall Stroope. Tour and festival production is produced by Music Celebrations International. |

Salzburg Choral FestivalMusic Celebrations International The 13th Salzburg Choral Festival, Jubilate Mozart!, will take place in Salzburg, Austria June 29 – July 2, 2022. The festival will feature a large chorus consisting of mixed voice choirs from across North America. Three days of festival rehearsals and mingling side-by-side with singers from a variety of backgrounds will lead festival participants to a grand finale concert in the historic and stunning Salzburger Dom. Under the direction of Dr. Eph Ehly, Professor Emeritus at the Conservatory of Music, University of Missouri-Kansas City, the festival chorus will perform outstanding classical works selected by Dr. Ehly. János Czifra, Domkapellmeister of the Dom, will conduct Mozart’s Mass in C Major, “Coronation,” KV 317, accompanied by the Salzburger Domorchester. |
