In 2011, the Minnesota Chorale’s acclaimed community-engagement program BRIDGES focused on Minnesotans with physical disabilities in partnership with VSA Minnesota, an organization which celebrates the power of the arts in the lives of individuals with disabilities. Join the Dance! brought together clients from  the Courage Center—Minnesota's largest provider of rehabilitation services to people with disabilities—with singers from the Minnesota Chorale in the creation and performance of choreographed works set to music sung by the Chorale.

Choreographers from the Dance Exchange of Takoma Park, Maryland and Young Dance Minneapolis led singers and dancers in the creation of these works using the Dance Exchange's nationally acclaimed methods in developing community-based art, which breaks boundaries between stage and audience, theater and community, movement and language, tradition and the unexplored.  Join Minnesota Chorale artistic director Kathy Saltzman Romey, executive director Bob Peskin, and representatives from the Dance Exchange, VSA Minnesota, and Young Dance to explore this unique partnership and how your organization can benefit from moving beyond ADA requirements.
